Aquarius is the exact opposite of Leo in the circle of signs. The relationship will not be tense or argumentative; if you stay in the public eye and spend lots of time in the company of others, no problems will exist. Aquarians' are outgoing and like you project their energy outward. This is what attracts you to him in the first place. The difference is that he is concerned with ideas and conversation and with the group. This results in individuality being lost. You are concerned with an individual. He is ruled another who takes his influence from Saturn and is therefore cold and unemotional. You are warm and outgoing. You get things done, he is less able to make things happen, although he is the best of the Air signs in this respect. He is an observer, he loves to present at everything that is going on. He lives off the buzz of the conversation and the excitement of social life, but doesn't want to be deeply involved. He makes a good host as he keeps things moving and never stays with one conversation long. He circulates from one person to another, keeping the flow of ideas and contact going. You become the heart of any social function, the focus of attention. Alone together, you find him cold and withdrawn, while he finds you domineering.
As a friendship, if you keep it on the social level you will make a great pair. He keeps the party going, leaving you free to become the center of attention. As lovers or in a marriage, the cool indifference and warm conventionality becomes more marked. Since he works at a lower emotional level than you, you see him as aloof when he is a lover and less caring as a spouse. His ideas on the content and management of a household you will find just as cool; your ideal of the welcoming hearth with a good table will take a bit of a bashing.
The problems arise from your lack of understanding of each other. You are made of much the same stuff, in that you both enjoy immensely any kind of social function. He thinks that if I was as committed to my interests as that I could never turn my attention to anything new. Therefore, I would be unable to see what everybody else was doing. While you need to forget yourself for a while and bask in the attention of others. You think it is a pity that so friendly a person can't really put himself into something one hundred percent. If he was as warm underneath as he is friendly on the top and stopped drifting he could really be likeable. It all boils down to the fact that you both want to be different, but in different ways.
